Media reports: Prime Minister condemns masked crowd’s attack on local event with smoke bombs

At least three people were rushed to the hospital after masked individuals stormed a lecture organized by local political parties in southern Stockholm. The incident occurred at the Moment theater in Gubbängen, where dozens of people had gathered to hear the speakers. Witnesses reported seeing red smoke spreading in the area and causing chaos as attendees began to run.

According to reports, one or more smoke bombs were used during the incident, causing respiratory problems for some attendees. Several individuals were reportedly hit in the face, and some experienced eye irritation from the smoke. The confusion escalated quickly, leading to an evacuation of the theater.

Several people were taken to the hospital as a result of their injuries, though their conditions were not immediately clear. The police are investigating the incident as a case of causing danger to others and disturbing public order.

In response to the attack, the Farsta Left Party’s local organization issued a statement on Facebook blaming it on extreme right-wing groups and condemning their actions. The Swedish Prime Minister also denounced the attack and stated that such acts have no place in a free and open society. Investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend those responsible for this incident.
