The Catholic Charities Mother of Mercy Free Medical Clinic in Manassas and Woodbridge has received a $10,000 donation from UVA Health in recognition of National Doctors’ Day on March 30. The donation honors the exceptional service of physicians to the community and thank them for their hard work in providing quality care to patients.
The clinic serves the uninsured and underinsured, offering a range of services including annual physicals, disease management, prenatal care, health and wellness classes, eye exams and more. All doctors and nurses working at the clinic volunteer their time to provide free medical care. Additionally, the clinic offers integrated services like counseling, emergency food assistance, and workforce development.
Alexandra Luevano, director of the Mother of Mercy Free Medical Clinic expressed appreciation for UVA Health’s ongoing support and generosity towards the clinic and its patients. The donation reflects UVA Health’s commitment to the clinic’s mission and the strong partnership formed in supporting the health of Prince William community.
UVA Health has donated a total of $50,000 across its service area from Charlottesville to Northern Virginia and Culpeper in honor of National Doctor’s Day.
