In December 2022, Bellin Health and Gundersen Health System officially merged to form Emplify Health. The merger reflects their shared commitment to increasing access, creating a culture of empathy, and enhancing population health outcomes.
Emplify is a combination of “empathy” and “amplify,” representing a promise to understand and improve the well-being of patients and communities. The rebranding process will take place over the next few months, with all hospitals and clinics changing their name to Emplify Health.
While the hospitals and clinics will undergo a name change, entities like Gundersen Medical Foundation and The Bellin Health Foundation will retain their names and remain unaffected by the merger at this time. Funds received by each foundation will continue to be used for the purposes intended by the donors.
Patients of Emplify Health can expect to receive care from the same providers and staff at the same locations they are familiar with. Rathgaber mentioned that the transition to Emplify Health is expected to take several years to complete.
