Baptist Health Paducah Offers Free Classes for Expecting Parents

Expecting parents can now take advantage of free community classes offered by Baptist Health Paducah in April. These classes are designed to provide support and education during the exciting but sometimes anxiety-inducing time of becoming a parent. Led by health experts such as Board Certified Lactation Consultant Kim Coram and clinical educators Martha Veatch and Cindy Walker, the classes will cover topics such as childbirth, breastfeeding, and more.

The classes will take place at Baptist Health Paducah in the Zimmerman NICU Education Room and Maternal Child Unit. Scheduled classes for April include Breastfeeding Matters on April 2 from 6-8 p.m. and April 10 from 12-1 p.m., Childbirth Class on April 9 from 5-7 p.m. and April 20 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and Kangaroo Club on April 11 from 1-2:30 p.m. The Kangaroo Club will offer a safe space for breastfeeding mothers to share experiences, voice concerns, and encourage one another in their breastfeeding journey.

Baptist Health emphasizes the importance of having reliable resources, advice, and support during the childbirth and breastfeeding process. Classes are free to attend and registration can be done on the Baptist Health website.
