Completion of Amherst County Community Health Center nears in Madison Heights

In early 2024, the Amherst County Community Health Center in Madison Heights will open its doors to the public. Johnson Health Center, the organization behind the new center, announced that the final touches are being put in place and they are close to opening the doors to the public.

The new location will provide primary care for adults and pediatrics, behavioral health services, dental care, a drive-thru pharmacy, and a wellness center complete with fitness equipment and a teaching kitchen. This comprehensive approach to healthcare aims to serve the diverse needs of the community in Amherst County.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the site took place in 2023. The CEO of Johnson Health Center has stated that the new health center will create job opportunities for 13 to 20 new employees. This development is seen as a positive step in improving access to quality healthcare services for residents in the area.
