The Curiosity Cube, a mobile science lab created by MilliporeSigma from a converted shipping container, is currently on tour across North America. It will be making stops in the State College and Bellefonte areas to provide hands-on STEM education for students.
MilliporeSigma aims to increase access to STEM education and inspire a passion for science among students through the Curiosity Cube. The lab will be open to the public on specific dates at different locations in the State College and Bellefonte areas. Additionally, there will be school-only events in nearby school districts to engage students in interactive experiments led by MilliporeSigma scientists.
These experiments will use modular electronics, digital microscopes, and other scientific tools to teach students about sustainability. Through these activities, MilliporeSigma hopes to show students that science is all around them and inspire them to pursue careers in STEM fields. By providing a hands-on learning experience and sparking scientific curiosity, the company hopes to pave the way for innovative breakthroughs in the future.
MilliporeSigma has a facility in Bellefonte and is dedicated to promoting STEM education through initiatives like the Curiosity Cube.
