On the evening of April 23, the 17th National Technical Innovation Award was held to recognize outstanding research projects that have been applied in production and have brought high economic efficiency. The contest aims to promote the creative labor movement, encourage research and creative solutions, and contribute to economic development. From a total of 587 participating applications, six first prizes, twelve second prizes, twenty-four third prizes, and forty-two consolation prizes were awarded.
The winning projects cover a wide range of innovative solutions such as improving fuel export systems, designing shooting practice equipment for infantry training, applying diffusion magnetic resonance techniques in medicine, developing control modules for smart electrical devices, and researching parts for production using automatic robots and painting techniques. These projects showcase the diverse range of fields that innovative research is being conducted in Vietnam.
The contest has been organized by the Vifotec Foundation, Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, Ministry of Science and Technology, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee since 1989. Over the years nearly 8000 solutions have been entered with close to 1000 projects being awarded. The contest highlights Vietnam’s commitment to advancing science and technology.
