Indian caregivers are now joining Finland’s migration support organizations – “I’m aware that a significant amount of tax is paid there”

Silkkitie, a nursing staff recruitment company owned by Sotjätti Attendo, is currently in the process of recruiting nursing staff from India. The local partner believes that there is great potential in this venture. Vikas, a 25-year-old nurse from Delhi, is one of the nurses who will be moving to Finland next summer. Despite being nervous, Vikas is excited about the opportunity to live in the happiest country in the world. He has already started learning a few Finnish words and is looking forward to the new experience.

Silkkitie and Indian Walsons Healthcare have partnered up to bring Indian nurses to Finland. With plans to increase the number of nurses at a rapid pace, this partnership is seen as a business opportunity by both companies. Richa Arora, the director of Walsons Healthcare, believes that there is a demand for nurses from India in Finland and sees this as a growth opportunity for their business.

Nursing degrees from India are not recognized in Finland, so nurses from India will need to undergo an apprenticeship and pass a Finnish nursing degree. While there are challenges in the recruitment process, including language tests and educational requirements, both companies are committed to providing comprehensive support to the nurses who will be coming to Finland.

Silkkitie and Walsons Healthcare are focused on responsible recruitment practices and ensuring that the nurses are well-prepared for their new roles in Finland. They use advanced technology and verification processes to confirm the authenticity of credentials, and they aim to provide transparent information to job seekers about their employment terms and benefits.

The companies are also looking to recruit whole families to work in Finland, with the goal of establishing roots in the country. By recruiting families and encouraging long-term commitments, they hope to address the shortage of personnel in the Finnish social security sector and contribute to sustainable growth of industry.

Silkkitie turned over 3.8 million euros in 2022 with plans for further expansion
