Ikea has announced the launch of their Brännboll collection, designed specifically for gamers and those who share their living space. This line features 20 unique items that offer a comfortable and immersive gaming experience while blending seamlessly into the home decor when not in use.
Gaming has become one of the world’s most popular hobbies, with a global community of 3.3 billion players. Following the success of their mobile gaming collaboration with Republic of Gamers in 2021, Ikea is now introducing the Brännboll collection to provide stylish and functional solutions for gamers.
The collection includes furniture, storage solutions, and accessories that are multifunctional and adaptable to different spaces. The seating options in the collection include ergonomic chairs designed to support various postures and play scenarios. The gaming station features a folding table, integrated PC storage, cable management, and can transform into a storage unit when not in use. Various storage options like wall-mounted wardrobes, coffee tables on wheels, and a multifunctional basket add to the versatility of the collection. Accessories like mouse pads, carpets, and throws are also available to personalize the gaming space.
Philip Dilé, a product design developer at Ikea, highlights the goal of creating spaces that accommodate gaming, daily life, and everything in between. The Brännboll collection aims to encourage friends and families to connect and have shared gaming experiences while maintaining a comfortable living environment.
The Brännboll collection will be available in September 2024 at all Ikea stores worldwide.
