Alternatively, users can set up automatic archiving, where posts are archived automatically after a designated period of time has passed since their publication.

According to Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, archived posts can be unarchived at any time if users decide to make them public again. This feature is currently being tested as an option, so users who wish to use automatic archiving will need to configure it in their account settings.

In other news, Threads has surpassed 150 million active users per month, as announced by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg during the company’s first quarter earnings report in 2024. Since its launch in July of the previous year, Threads has shown consistent growth and has gained around 20 million new users since February.
