On the night of April 27, Russian troops launched a devastating missile strike on Ukraine, according to Meduza. The attack involved a total of 34 air, ground, and sea-based missiles, including various types such as cruise missiles, guided air missiles, anti-aircraft missiles, aeroballistic missiles and more.
Unfortunately, the attack resulted in heavy damage to Ukrainian infrastructure. Among the targets was the city of Kharkov where a psychiatric hospital was hit by S-300 missiles. The hospital sustained significant damage to its buildings, windows, roofs and interior decorations resulting in injuries to one woman.
The Lviv region also saw two critical energy infrastructure facilities targeted by Russian forces causing fires and destruction. Despite this, no residential infrastructure was damaged and there were no reported injuries. In Dnepropetrovsk region too Russian forces attacked energy facilities leading to fires and interruptions in water supply.
In total, the combined missile strike by Russian troops had severe consequences on various regions in Ukraine with destruction of key infrastructure and injury to civilians. Ukrainian sources reported that 21 Russian missiles were destroyed during the attack but it is unclear how many casualties there were.
