After five days of intense competition, the women’s teams at the World Senior Championships have reached their quarter-finals. On Thursday evening, Switzerland and Sweden faced off in a closely contested match that ended with a score of 8-7 in favor of Switzerland. This victory advanced them to the semi-finals, where they will face Lithuania, who achieved their first-ever semi-final appearance with an impressive 11-1 win over England.

Meanwhile, Canada emerged victorious in their quarter-final match against Latvia with a score of 12-0 in just six ends. They will now be facing Scotland, who secured their spot in the semi-finals after beating Japan by 5-4.

Moving on to the men’s competition, the quarter-final lineup has been determined. Sweden, who won their group without suffering any losses, will be facing Czechia in Friday afternoon’s session. Canada, who also remained undefeated throughout the round-robin matches, will go up against Norway in their quarter-final match.

In this stage, Switzerland narrowly won against Sweden by 8 to 7 while Lithuania achieved their first ever semi final appearance with an impressive victory over England by 11 to 1.

On the other hand Canada defeated Latvia by a score of 12 – 0 in just six ends and qualified for semis where they will face Scotland who secured their spot after beating Japan by a narrow margin of 5 –4.

Moving on to men’s competition, it has been determined that Sweden who won their group without losing any matches will face Czechia while Canada who also remained undefeated throughout round robin matches will meet Norway in their respective quarter finals.

In another half of draw Switzerland which has maintained a perfect record so far is set to face United States while Germany team which has yet to experience any loss is pitted against Scotland.

Overall rankings led to an interesting quarter final draw where each group winner is matched against runners up from same group.
