Aon Swing 5 and Next 10 golfers confirmed for Wells Fargo Championship

Taylor Pendrith made history at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, securing his first PGA Tour victory. The tournament saw a close race between Pendrith, Ben Kohles, and Alex Noren, with Pendrith emerging as the winner. Kohles and Noren finished in second and third place, respectively.

Pendrith’s win guarantees him spots in several upcoming events including the Wells Fargo Championship, Memorial Tournament, and Travelers Championship. Kohles and Noren also earned their spots in the Wells Fargo Championship through the Aon Swing 5 system.

The top five players who accumulated the most points from the Corales Puntacana Championship, Zurich Classic, and Nelson were Pendrith, Kohles, Noren, Billy Horschel, and Kevin Tway. Players who have won one of these tournaments qualify through the Swing 5 or Next 10 categories. Chad Ramey narrowly missed out on the top 5, finishing in sixth place.

The Aon Next 10 category saw minimal changes from the previous event. Shane Lowry joined players like Ludvig Ã…berg, Matthieu Pavon, and Justin Thomas in the current rankings after claiming victory at Zurich with Rory McIlroy. This system allows for a fair and competitive selection of players for upcoming tournaments.
