RJ Krishnaswamy, a local teen, celebrated a special day on Saturday as he received his master’s degree in computer science from the University of Pittsburgh. After earning his bachelor’s degree from Pitt last year, RJ expressed his excitement to KDKA-TV about having something tangible to show for all his hard work.
Despite the challenges of defending a thesis, RJ felt proud to have achieved this milestone in his academic journey. Professor Daniel Mosse, who taught him at the University of Pittsburgh, commended RJ for choosing their institution for both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Mosse was especially proud of the publication opportunities that may lay ahead for the young graduate.
Now equipped with his master’s degree, RJ is undecided about his next steps but eagerly awaiting a response from Pitt regarding the beginning of his doctorate studies. This educational achievement at such a young age highlights the dedication and hard work that RJ has put into his academic pursuits, setting him on a path towards continued success in the field of computer science.
