The electricity transfer fees among companies vary significantly, with nearly tenfold differences between the cheapest and most expensive options. A study conducted by Omakotiliitto found that the basic fee for transfer ranges from EUR 4.70 at the cheapest to EUR 40.66 at the most expensive per month. Järvi-Suomen Energia had the highest basic fee for transfer, followed by Kajave (39.5 euros per month) and Koorevesi Sähkö (39.48 euros per month). On the other hand, Kerava Energy had the cheapest basic fee, followed by Tampereen Energia Sähköverkola and Haukiputaa Sähkoosuuskunnta.
When it comes to energy fees for electricity transmission, Enontekiö Sähkö has the most expensive price at 6.75 cents per kilowatt-hour, while Rovakaira has the cheapest at 1.69 cents. The survey revealed that spending habits and living situations determine whether the emphasis on the electricity bill is on the basic transfer fee or energy fee. Nearly half of companies surveyed increased their prices since last year, while two lowered them and 37 kept them unchanged.
The Energy Agency introduced a new supervision model last year to monitor pricing practices of electricity transmission companies, which faced opposition from many companies due to concerns about monopoly practices in pricing policies. Ari Rehnfors, chairman of Omakotiliitto KTI Kiinteistötieto expressed his desire for more drastic measures to lower electricity transmission prices, stating that current control model favors monopoly companies over consumers.
In conclusion, this report highlights significant variations in electricity transfer fees among companies and emphasizes the need for fair and transparent pricing policies that are not biased towards monopoly practices.
