Top 100 players, including Tiger Woods, named in PGA Championship field

The upcoming 106th PGA Championship at Valhalla promises to be an exciting tournament, with the world’s top golfers, including Tiger Woods, set to compete. Despite severe leg injuries sustained in a car crash in 2021, Woods has shown signs of improvement with a 60th place finish in the Masters and plans to play more tournaments leading up to the US and British Opens.

The lineup for the championship includes defending champion Brooks Koepka, who is one of 16 players from the LIV Golf League participating in the tournament. Top-ranked Scottie Scheffler will also be competing, despite skipping this week’s PGA Tour event to be with his wife as they await the birth of their child. Other notable players include Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton, and Phil Mickelson.

The PGA field comprises 33 major winners, with 16 of them being former PGA Championship winners. Two spots in the 156-player field are still open for winners of this week’s PGA Tour events. The lineup also includes defending champion Brooks Koepka and other notable players such as Michael Block, who finished 15th last year.

As always, there will be a mix of professionals and qualifiers in the field at Valhalla. With such an impressive lineup of golfers and exciting storylines, it’s sure to be an unforgettable tournament for golf fans everywhere.
