Time Magazine recently released its list of the “100 Most Influential People of 2024,” featuring individuals from a variety of fields. The list includes prominent names such as singer Dua Lipa, American football star Patrick Mahomes, actress Taraji Penson, and Russian opposition leader Yulia Navalnaya.
Notably, women are prominently represented on this year’s list, with 51 out of the 100 individuals being female. Among the notable women included are Sofia Coppola, Kylie Minogue, Kelly Ripa, Rachel Goldberg-Pauline, and many others. Rachel Goldberg-Pauline is known for being the mother of Hirsch, a US citizen who was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists in 2023.
The Time Hundred also features prominent political figures such as Andriy Ermak, the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, CIA Director William Burns, Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk, and Prime Minister of Qatar Muhammad bin Abdulrahman al-Thani. The youngest person on the list is 25-year-old photojournalist Mutaz Azaiza while the oldest is 86-year-old Joel Habener, a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.
In addition to recognizing influential individuals, the list also acknowledges authors who wrote about them. For instance, US President Joe Biden writes about UAW union president Sean Fein while Mark Zuckerberg writes about Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Michelle Obama writes about American art museum curator Thelma Golden.
