Weekend Schedule for NASCAR Xfinity and Cup races at Richmond Raceway

This weekend, two of the national NASCAR series are taking place at Richmond Raceway. The Xfinity teams will continue their season on Saturday with a busy day of practice, qualifying, and racing at the .75-mile Virginia track. Cup teams will practice and qualify on Saturday in preparation for Sunday’s primetime race. In addition to these races, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour teams will also be in action on Friday at Richmond.

On Friday, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour opens the garage at 9:30 a.m., followed by Xfinity Series activities from 12 – 5 p.m. and Cup Series activities from 4 – 9 p.m. Track activities include Modified Tour practice, qualifying, and the Modified Tour race, which consists of 150 laps totaling 112.5 miles.

On Saturday, the Xfinity Series opens the garage at 6:30 a.m., and the Cup Series follows suit at 8 a.m. Track activities for the day include Xfinity practice and qualifying, as well as Cup practice and qualifying. The Xfinity race features 250 laps totaling 187.5 miles and will take place at 1:30 p.m.

Lastly, on Sunday at Richmond Raceway, fans can expect an exciting primetime race featuring Cup teams practicing and qualifying during the day before racing begins in earnest in the evening with a race that consists of 400 laps totaling 300 miles broadcasted on Fox, Motor Racing Network, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio
