Marika Auramo, a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, has recently joined Vodafone after working at SAP. In her previous role at SAP, Auramo was responsible for the go-to-market strategy of their product portfolio in 89 countries and most recently held the position of chief business officer for EMEA.
As a member of Vodafone’s Executive Committee, Auramo will lead the business division which is considered a key growth driver for the company. Margherita Della Valle, Vodafone’s group CEO, expressed her excitement about Auramo joining the team and highlighted her extensive B2B experience in the IT industry. She looks forward to Auramo’s contribution as a member of the Executive Committee.
Auramo expressed her enthusiasm for working with Della Valle and the management team, stating that Vodafone Business has significant growth opportunities ahead. She noted that large corporates, SMEs, and the public sector are increasingly looking to integrate digital tools to boost growth and productivity. This is particularly relevant as Vodafone Business has reported a 5% growth in service revenue at the Group’s third quarter trading update.
With its well-positioning to take advantage of the growing adoption of new digital services such as cloud, security, and IoT, Vodafone Business is poised for continued success under Auramo’s leadership.
