Alexander and Sound Health celebrate partnership; Contegra continues construction; EPA recognizes excellence

Researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis were awarded a $6.2 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to develop a gene therapy that could potentially lead to advancements in the treatment of HIV. Meanwhile, Alexander Realty, led by broker-owners Renee and Mark Ottinger, celebrated its 25th anniversary in St. Charles County, Missouri.

In other news, Sound Health Services marked its twentieth year of providing ear, nose, and throat care to the community. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Alliance Real Estate relocated to a central and easily accessible space in downtown Chesterfield, Missouri. Additionally, Contegra Construction recently completed a pre-engineered building for AZZ Precoat in Washington, Missouri and is also constructing a solar-powered manufacturing plant for Manner Polymers in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 7 recognized three local companies with the 2024 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year awards for their leadership in supporting clean energy initiatives. Emerson Electric and Copeland, both based in St. Louis, along with True Manufacturing in O’Fallon, Missouri were honored for their commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
