Cowgirls Earn Spot in UTR Sports NIT Tournament for Another Year

Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team has qualified for postseason play for the second consecutive year. They will be participating in the UTR NIT tournament, which will take place from May 5-8 in Bradenton, Florida. The full bracket for the tournament will be released at a later date.

The Cowgirls had a successful season with a 16-10 record, finishing third in the Mountain West Conference with a 7-3 record. Three Cowgirls received All-Mountain West honors: Noesjka Brink and Sophie Zehender made the All-Singles Team while Violetta Borodina and Zehender made the All-Doubles Team.

In this year’s tournament, Wyoming will face off against teams such as Colorado, West Virginia, Tulsa, Liberty, Appalachian State, Pacific, and Saint Mary’s. Fans can catch all the action on Amazon Prime Video. Last season, the Cowgirls finished with a 2-1 record in the inaugural NIT tournament. Overall, the team is excited to compete once again in postseason play and showcase their skills on a national stage.
