United States to Provide New Military Aid to Kyiv in Days for Russia-Ukraine Conflict

The US is set to deliver new military aid to Ukraine in a matter of days once President Joe Biden approves the assistance, as indicated by the Pentagon on Tuesday. The Defense Department spokesman mentioned that they hope to deliver the aid within days, although they did not provide details on the specific assistance.

The Senate is expected to approve a military aid package worth $95 billion, with $61,000 allocated to Ukraine. This aid package includes air defense capabilities and artillery ammunition. In the past two years since Russia invaded Ukraine, the US has provided over $75 billion in military aid to the country. President Biden recently spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss the situation. Russia has warned the US that its military support for Ukraine could end in a fiasco like Vietnam.

President Biden has reaffirmed his commitment to providing additional military assistance to Ukraine based on their most urgent needs. The new military assistance program being considered by the Senate includes tanks, armored vehicles, defense against air attacks, and large quantities of artillery ammunition. The Pentagon is working to finalize the assistance and ensure it is delivered promptly to support Ukraine in the ongoing conflict.
