Brighton Growing Grads supports budding entrepreneurs in developing their business acumen

Brighton’s Growing Grads program is a unique initiative that aims to help young entrepreneurs in the city develop essential business skills, creative and communication abilities, and gain confidence. The program also covers the expenses to consider when starting a business.

Tawnya Russell, Youth Services Manager, has shared that the program has been very successful in helping Brighton’s youth gain valuable experience and knowledge. The boot camp will continue to evolve to meet the needs of all participants and is expected to be even better in 2024.

The boot camp will take place at Brighton’s City Hall on 500 South 4th Ave. An orientation for all ages will be held on June 25 from 3-5 p.m., while the program itself will run on June 26 and June 27.

The program is designed for young adults aged 19 and below, with separate sessions for different age groups. The session for children aged 12 and younger will run from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., while the session for teenagers aged 13 and above will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., each day.

Upon completion of the program, participants will have an opportunity to sell their products at the Brighton City BBQ festival on July 18th . Interested individuals can register for the boot camp through the city’s website, with applications due by June
