Michael Barton of Houston, Texas, has come a long way since he first tried his hand at axe throwing five years ago. Initially struggling with the technique, Barton is now headed back to the World Axe Throwing Championships alongside his practice partners from Hurling Hatchets.
Barton’s doubles partners, Jorge Sanchez and Chris Kendig, have also made significant progress and are feeling confident about their chances at the upcoming championships in Tulsa. They plan to showcase the skills they have honed over the years and demonstrate their passion for the sport.
According to Kendig, the key to throwing an axe with accuracy lies in hard work, practice, and mastering the technique. Barton believes that being a successful axe thrower is more about mental strength and staying calm during competitions. With determination and focus, they are looking forward to making their mark on the competitive axe throwing scene.
