Hampden Charter School of Science East girls continue their undefeated streak and more

The Hampden Charter School of Science East boys’ tennis team faced off against Frontier on Tuesday, earning an impressive five-set win despite losing two of the final three matches. Iyanla Lewis and Tiffany Munga secured victories in the singles matchups, putting their team in the lead early on. Thanushi Ratnatuge of Frontier kept the Red Hawks in the game with a win in the final singles matchup.

In the doubles matches, Esther Ehle and Kayla Fagan secured a win for Hampden Charter School of Science East, but it was the first doubles team of Jasmine Ortega and Saryah Brantley that sealed the victory for the home team. This win marked only the fourth combined set loss for Hampden Charter School of Science East this season, as they maintain an undefeated record at 5-0.

On Wednesday, Frontier will look to bounce back from their loss to Hampden Charter School of Science East as they face Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School on the road. Meanwhile, Frontier’s boys’ tennis team will take their momentum on the road to face Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School on Wednesday.
