In January 2024, SABIC Fujian Petrochemicals awarded KBR a contract to license its phenol technology in China. This project involves providing technology licensing and engineering design for a phenol plant with a capacity of 250,000 tons per year at SABIC’s Fujian Petrochemical Complex.
