To commemorate Mental Health Awareness Month, Downtown Summerlin has set up special displays that emphasize the importance of mental health. One such display features Tony Tasset’s ‘Mood Sculpture,’ which encourages people to accept and embrace a range of emotions as part of their mental well-being.
Halee Harczynski, senior director of marketing for Downtown Summerlin, discussed the significance of addressing mental health for people of all ages. She pointed out that unveiling the latest sculpture, which portrays a variety of moods, was an excellent way to initiate conversations about mental health.
Visitors can explore the array of moods represented by the sculpture inside the butterfly garden under The Pavilion at the property. Organizers suggested various ways to prioritize mental health, including staying active, seeking therapy, or engaging in activities such as shopping at the weekly farmer’s market.
Overall, Downtown Summerlin aimed to increase awareness about mental health and promote self-care practices during Mental Health Awareness Month. By offering a space for reflection and discussion, they hoped to inspire individuals to prioritize their mental well-being.
