Local business owners on the north side optimistic for a resurgence in business

The Northgate Mall in Lafayette has faced challenges in recent years as businesses have moved to the more modern South side of town. Despite these changes, local business owners like Christopher Rubin and Cristal Henry are optimistic about the future of the once vibrant shopping center.

Rubin fondly recalls a time when it was the place to be for the north side community and believes that the mall still has major potential for growth and success. Ebony Roberts, who left her teaching job to open a skincare business at the mall six years ago, emphasizes that there are still many thriving businesses at the Northgate Mall.
