State Street Science Weekend

The Christa McAuliffe Center at Framingham State University is hosting the annual Science on State Street festival in collaboration with the MetroWest STEM Education Network. This free community event will take place on Saturday, April 27 from Noon to 3 p.m. and is open to all ages.

The theme of this year’s festival is focused on planet Earth, showcasing how science, technology, engineering, and math support environmental justice, renewable energy, and sustainability efforts. Attendees can explore various exhibits and activities that highlight the intersection of science and environmental issues.

Some of the exhibitors at this year’s event include MIT Lincoln Labs offering a table on building a lightsaber, Boston Scientific with an interactive human body exhibition, MathWorks demonstrating the Power of AI, and the U.S. Army DEVCOM Soldier Center providing information on STEM professionals’ contributions to soldier protection. There will be additional booths and activities for visitors to enjoy.

Last year’s Science on State Street was a success, and this year’s event promises to be even more engaging and informative for the community. For more information and a list of exhibitors, visit https://cm-center.org/2024exhibitors.
