The 2024 World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest is set to take place at Liberty Park from May 15-18, with an exciting entertainment lineup that fans will not want to miss. On Wednesday night, attendees can witness the thrilling Barbecue Sauce Wrestling, followed by a performance by alternative rock band Marcy Playground on Thursday. Ingram Hill will take the stage on Friday, and DJ MicTee from K97 will close out the festivities with a performance on Saturday at the Cattlemen’s Main Stage.
For those interested in learning more about barbecue cooking, there are several events happening at the Home Depot Outdoor Kitchen. Attendees can meet and greet with pitmasters such as Moe Cason, Joe Davidson, Megan & Jason Day, Chris Lilly, and more. Free samples of delicious barbecue are available for all to enjoy. The McCormick Demo Stage will offer culinary tips and a special meet and greet with Rocky Stubblefield of Stubb’s Bar-B-Q Sauce. Additionally, the Cooker Caravan with Heath Riles BBQ provides an escorted tour where guests can learn from competitors between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
