NMMI students emerge victorious at regional Science Bowl, secure spot in national competition in DC

A team of high school students from the New Mexico Military Institute recently won their regional Science Bowl competition, securing their spot to compete in Washington D.C. later this month. This was the first time students from NMMI participated in the Science Bowl competition.

The team faced challenges and questions that tested their knowledge in various subjects, but they were well-prepared and thrilled to qualify for the next level of the contest. Despite a nerve-wracking first round, the NMMI students were able to dominate in subsequent rounds, securing their victory in the competition.

While they are excited to be moving on to the next level of the competition, the students are unsure of how they will perform. They hope to at least get past the first round but are not setting high expectations for themselves. The team is currently preparing for the upcoming competition in Washington D.C., where they will compete against 68 other teams from across the country. The competition will take place from April 25th to the 29th, and the NMMI students are looking forward to the challenge.
