Johnny Ferraro, Creator of Range Sports Signs

In 2022, Range Media established its Range Sports division, which aims to produce live and on-demand original sports programming, manage sports talent, properties, and IP, and invest in sports content and distribution. Recently, the company has signed with Johnny Ferraro, the creator of American Gladiators, for representation. Together with Ferraro and his partners, Range Sports is actively developing multiple projects to bring the American Gladiators brand to new audiences across TV, film, attractions, merchandise, and live events.

The iconic American Gladiators franchise was originally aired from 1989 to 1996 on syndication and featured contestants competing against elite “gladiators” in televised competitions. It was later revived in 2008 for NBC before being rebooted by the BBC earlier this year with a quick second series pickup. Will Funk and Greg Luckman, co-presidents of Range Sports are excited about working with Ferraro to accelerate the growth and expansion of the American Gladiators brand across sports, culture, and entertainment. With Johnny Ferraro on board as their partner in this venture into uncharted waters for Range Sports’ business model is poised for success.
